ok first of all obviously sarcasm in the title of this post. but im just... SOOO ANNOYED RIHT NOW.
m a frequent pinterest peruser, and anywan thats ever used pinterest 4 like five minutes knos that ai has overrun the images on pinterest with (i believe) no way to disable
them popping up, which is like.. ugh.
it definitly bothrs me, but something thats been realy REALLY bothering me was the appearance of ai adopts..... let me break this down if ur unfamiliar with the terms...
so, an adopt is when an artist draws an original character and intends to give it to someone else, be it thru flatsale, trade, bidding, etc. once the customer receives the character, its theirs 2 keep.
adopts are almost always bought because ppl enjoy the creative, well thought-out designs of the adopts.
now...... the trifling part....... people have been uploading photos of ai-generated adopts to pinterest. there r two types of people that do this.
the first type is somewan that has generated the ai art. annoying, bad, killing the environmen....
the second type is somewan that saw the ai art somewhere and
decided to post it, and these people almost make me MORE mad than the first type of people because they try to
post it under the guise of "oh yes, u can steal this adopt bc its ai!!! frick ai, it sux!!! x3"
i cant say this any louder. YOU ARE APART OF THE FUCKING PROBLEM!!!! scuse my french. but like, ur distributing this ai slop. maybe what ur doing isnt directly causing environmental harm, but when
you share ai images, it increases awareness of these ai models and people are inclined to make their own, thus draining all our fucking water... scuse my french again.
its infuriating because those people literally know its ai slop and share it anyway. im not sure why somewan would think its fine to do that. at the very least, it should be entirely easy to recognize that
those ai models steal artwork from real, hardworking artists to produce total bullshit. so WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU SPREAD THAT???
people buy adopts because they love the design, effort, and/or love put into making it. dumbass robots dont do any of that. they just rip off actual artists. theres zero soul in ai and it should not touch art, ever.
art is literaly the most human thing in the world.
pleas just support real artists. buy adopts and art from real artists. if u cannot buy for any reason, then pick up a pencil and draw! theres zero reason to resort to a stupid robot to make it for you.
my personal favorite part of making art is looking back at it and being proud that i put time and care into it. so just... stop!!! (insert matpat "please, stop" photo)
i think thats all i had to say. i just get so pissed off seeing those ugly ai adopts. the worst part is that, as people make more and more ai art, the ai steals more real art and therefore becomes
much more accurate in generating art that looks REAL, and we are very quickly approaching a point where ai is no longer discernible from human-made things. this puts so many careers of artists at risks, not to
mention thousands of other jobs threatened by ai, and invalidates the integrity of what art truly is.
i try to keep my website to just hobby things bc its my escape from the world, but im just so disgusted and annoyed with ai, and i hope people can recogniz that. dont support those ai adopts, or ai in general, and do ur best
to be able to distinguish ai slop from real art. i believe in u. SUPORT REAL ARTISTS !!!!!
